Tentacle Tribe

Madigan recommends: The Montreal-based dance company Tentacle Tribe is bringing its original production of “Ghost” to Atlanta in Jan. in a presentation of Kennesaw State University’s Department of Dance. “This new work combines elements of contemporary dance, street dance, and martial arts in a physical score that echoes the subtle pulse of respiration,” the official blurb says. Tentacle Tribe is a Swedish-Canadian creative alliance between choreographers Elon Höglund and Emmanuelle Lê Phan. The shows take place on campus at the Marietta Dance Theater, the only venue in Georgia constructed explicitly to provide the technical and performance requirements of the art. — KCM
