CL RECOMMENDS
CL’s Doug DeLoach Recommends: Arguably the best known jazz vocal group in all the land, The Manhattan Transfer was founded by Tim Hauser in New York City in 1972. The 10-time Grammy Award winning, four-part harmony troupe now consists of Janis Siegel (alto), Alan Paul (tenor), Cheryl Bentyne (soprano) and Trist Cureless (bass) who replaced Hauser following his passing in 2014. – DD

From the venue:

The Manhattan Transfer is a Grammy award-winning jazz vocal group founded in 1969 that has explored a cappella, vocalese, swing, standards, Brazilian jazz, rhythm and blues, and pop music. There have been two editions of the Manhattan Transfer, with Tim Hauser the only person to be part of both.
