“Sketchy Truth” by Mike Luckovich final month

Kick off the hot Atlanta summer with our cool June First Friday at the rek Gallery, Friday, June 3, 6-8 pm. In its final month at the rek Gallery, over 40 of Mike Luckovich’s original editorial cartoon drawings are featured in the exhibit “Sketchy Truth.” Most of the works were created during the past couple of years when national politics and sports became focused on Atlanta. Politically, it’s a time when Luckovich says “cartooning has become much more serious.” Works in the exhibit feature his take on Trump, Brian Kemp, John Lewis, voting rights, gun violence, the January 6 Capitol riot, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

With original works and prints available, we also are introducing new works this month by resident artists Randy Dickerson, Kelly O’Neal, Erin Drakeford and erin wicker.
