From the venue:

Atmospheric Gaze will feature two- and three-dimensional works by Seattle-based artist Kalina Wińska. Along the wall will be unframed works on paper from the Unaccustomed Lands series, displayed in a horizontal band that runs the length of the gallery. The center will be occupied by an installation work, titled Unusual Phenomena, consisting of sheets of Tyvek suspended in a cloud formation, printed with NOAA data, and hung with an armature of rope and plastic molding bars. The installation and series create a dialog around modes of representation and the experiences of chaos and uncertainty brought on by the relentless near-daily weather events of historic nature. The exhibition will be accompanied by a 1000-word essay by Meghan Bissonnette, exploring the environmental and technological themes in Wińska’s work.
