In the forest of Athens, the domestic squabbles of the fairy king and queen lead to mischief and mayhem. Four young lovers find their relationships turned upside down by the mischievous Puck, servant to the fairy king, while, simultaneously, a group of six Athenian craftsmen attempt to rehearse their play for the wedding of the Duke of Athens.
