CL Critic Hal Horowitz Recommends: Texas based soul/funk singer Lewis seemed to be on the verge of being the “next-big-thing” in the retro /R&B genre, but he has been quiet since 2018, releasing only one new song. Thankfully, he’s back on tour with his Honeybears band to turn it loose again. Deep Mississippi bluesman Cedric Burnside is a headliner on his own, which makes this a particularly potent double bill. — HH
