An Evening with Jimmy Broccoli
From the venue:
Categories: Poetry
Join poet Jimmy Broccoli in the Earl Dolive Theatre (2nd floor of the Philip Weltner Library) at Oglethorpe University for an evening of raw, dark, and confessional poetry. For mature audiences only. And - free pizza and beverages will be provided. Jimmy will read poems from his poetry collections, "Damaged" and "Rabbits" and will be available after the readings for a meet-and-greet and to autograph his books. Within his poems, Jimmy addresses drug and alcohol addiction, death - loss - and grieving, prostitution, suicidal thoughts, physical and mental abuse, alternative realities and universes, loneliness and depression, his love of dogs, and relationships - and so much more! No registration necessary. An intense musical (video) production will begin the evening. This isn't poetry as you're used to - it's next level. The evening will include prize giveaways (which are always fun!).
