Join us for the opening reception of the four-person group show, Beginnings, at The rek Gallery, 3383 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA. The exhibit juxtaposes Daugherty’s architectural abstracts that celebrate vibrant, energetic, almost geometric cityscapes with Butler’s haunting depictions of rural nightscapes with dark spaces that evoke hints of danger. Rodriguez and Santos explore their cultural narratives, family histories and memory through uniquely disparate styles. From vibrant and joyful to introspective and even anguished, Beginnings challenges viewers to look more deeply at the present as we step forward into the future’s uncertainty and sense of possibility.
