CL Critic Hal Horowitz Recommends: This relatively recent project continues the career of the irrepressible James Hall. Ex-Mary My Hope and The Pleasure Club, Hall has been active in the Atlanta rock scene, on and off, for decades, pounding out his trashy rock and roll like the trouper he is. This outfit has a new album, Coming Out of Our Tenderness, which features Hall doing some hip hop chanting backed by funky guitars. Hall is known for his live intensity making this definitely worth a look. — HH
From the venue:
The Ladies Of… is a rock band. Plain and simple.
Songs filled with power-hungry guitar riffs, impeccable vocals, and thunderous grooves
A musical cocktail that combines the vibe and sounds of David Bowie, Spoon, The Bleachers, and The Killers, complete with a vigorous shake and a plastic sword garnish.
