CRITIC’S PICK: Back in 1996, UK singer/songwriter Orton captured the ears of modern rockers on her debut with an imaginative combination of folk and trip-hop. But since then, she has bubbled under the radar, even though she has been releasing quality albums steadily over the decades. Her most recent, 2022’s Weather Alive brings a more atmospheric, pensive sound with jazz tinges.
