As if that wasn’t enough, her 1971 solo album Tapestry has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. This “jukebox musical” tells her story from teenage songwriter to rock n’ roll mega-fame, interspersed with personal travails and troubled relationships. King is played by local actor and music teacher Bethany Irby; King’s husband and frequent collaborator, Gerry Goffin, is portrayed by Ben Thorpe.
