CRITIC’S PICK: Singer/songwriter/guitarist Timony has been connected with so many bands, side projects and genres over the past two decades, it’s difficult for even fans to follow them all. So, the appearance of Untame the Tiger, her first full solo album since 2007, is a welcome surprise to those who have waited for this comeback. Although Timony has played in genres ranging from punk, experimental and prog rock, she now aims for a more indie/folk-rock style with psychedelic overtones that meshes well with her stark vocals. Her new music is unique, personal and edgy enough to appeal to a variety of tastes. — Hal Horowitz
