Mark Warren has garnered many book awards including the Will Rogers Medallion Award for Humor for his book Westering Trail Travesties. And now, Warren’s latest release, another hilarious novel called Moon of the White Tears: The Grandest-Ever Appalachian Do-Si-Do.

This modern-day, comic farce follows the convoluted paths of an ensemble cast of characters, who coincidentally converge on a small mountain town in Georgia. There, in historic Lumpkin County, where gold had been discovered more than a century and a half ago, a part-Cherokee curmudgeon named Hoke Limberlost has undertaken a mission to right the wrongs of the white man’s blight on the once pristine land.

Warren has 16 traditionally published books. He is a 2022 Georgia Author of the Year recipient for his book Song of the Horseman (Finalist, Literary Fiction.) He lectures around the country on the American West and Native American history.
