The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art presents the first solo exhibition of artwork by Maya Perez-Lugones. The exhibited drawings and paintings explore the complicated relationship between ego, compulsion, and empathy. Perez-Lugones’ layered compositions reflect the artist’s “obsessive desire to control reality and confront her own sense of victimhood. Each piece becomes a therapeutic space where [she] examine[s] perception, responsibility, and the shifting roles of victim and perpetrator.”

Georgia Wood Artists- A Juried Exhibition

The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art presents the first MCMA-juried exhibition of wood art and woodworking. Focused solely on artists working in wood that live within the state of Georgia, this exhibition presents a selection of fine wood art from over 150 submissions. Showcasing a diverse array of techniques and practices, this exhibition highlights the remarkable skill and creative depth of Georgia’s wood artists.
