CRITIC’S PICK: Blair Crimmins & the Hookers bill themselves as “Hot Ragtime Jazz with a Touch of Rock and Roll,” but what I hear is Mardi Gras, New Orleans, and maybe a little Vaudeville. Whatever you call their style, it includes high energy performances, horns to spare, a super tight band dynamic, and jazzy compositions.
