Forsyth County is Flooding (with the Joy of Lake Lanier) is the first new opera launched from The Atlanta Opera’s annual competition. Winners Marcus Norris and Adamma Ebo have created a one-act dark comedy that explores some of Georgia’s uncomfortable, uncanny, and even terrifying happenings at Lake Lanier in Forsyth County. In a modern-day ghost story, a private detective and witch, who claims to be connected to spirits, are hired to uncover a weird supernational mystery that keeps happening — puddles. Everywhere . . .
