CRITIC’S PICK: Michelle Malone, Eddie’s Attic—It’s new album release time once again for Atlanta icon Malone, this her first of new music since 2022, is titled Southern Comfort. That describes the vibe not just of the collection, but her entire career that has never shied away from her Atlanta blues-rocking roots. It’s another impressive example of her soaring voice and songs that balance a love of 70s Laurel Canyon singer/songwriters with her red clay roots. You’ll likely get to hear most of it, played both solo (at the early gig) and with a full band (at the later one). Longtime fans should try to make both.— Hal Horowitz
