CRITIC’S PICK: Hanson, Matthew Sweet, Buckhead Theater—It was hard to believe in 1997 that the cute-as-a-button brothers chirping the ear-worm pop radio hit “MMMBop” would still be around and vital 27 years later. But here they are, nearly 10 studio albums later, filling theatres with fresh music from a new album and a decent recent cover of Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon” of all things. Their joyful harmonies are still cool and a shift from pop towards a more folk-rock approach, suits them well. Be sure to arrive early for power pop rocker Matthew Sweet, doing an acoustic band set.
