The Georgia State University Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is proud to host the inaugural Recovery Is Spoken Here: Recovery Ally Training for students, faculty, and staff on October 22nd. At the CRC, we believe that recovery is possible at any stage in life. Our community exists and works so that students don’t have to choose between recovery and education. We offer support and events to help students not only seek and maintain sobriety, but also have fun while doing so. By becoming a Recovery Ally, you are declaring to students that you believe that recovery is possible. This 1.5 hour training covers a high level overview of addiction and recovery, addiction and recovery on campus, recovery friendly language, how to connect students to the CRC, and how you can get involved as a Recovery Ally.
