CRITIC’S PICK: Mindi Smith, Eddie’s Attic—Introspective singer/songwriter Smith was on the way up in the early 2010s before suddenly abandoning music after her last release in 2012. She recently returned with the sparkling Quiet Town album, one of her finest and most confident sets. She also got some love from superstar Kenny Chesney who invited her to duet with him on his “Better Boat” hit. That helped put her back on the Americana map. Smith has a holiday album and EP in her catalog, so expect some tunes from those too. She’s a class act and it’s great to have her back. — Hal Horowitz
