CRITIC’S PICK: Fruition, Vinyl—This Portland, Oregon five-piece has been fine-tuning a mix of mostly acoustic easygoing folk, soul, and country for fifteen years. They tour behind a new album, How to Make Mistakes, that one reviewer accurately described as “buoyant and big-hearted.” The studio set was recorded live with no overdubs showing how talented they are, especially with stunning vocal harmonies, providing a preview of their concert sound.
