CRITIC’S PICK: Jelly Roll, Warren Zeiders, State Farm Arena —It’s Jelly Roll’s “Beautifully Broken” tour where the hulking country/rap star sings about not being OK, opening his turbulent and often troubled history to the audience with songs from self-referential albums titled A Beautiful Disaster and Ballads of the Broken. His flinty voice works with hard rock, country, hip-hop and even metal, all of which are included in his diverse sets. There has been no one like him, certainly to reach the level of his popularity, and his audience continues to grow. Country-rocking opener Zeiders is a headliner on his own with a similar challenging past (exemplified by songs titled “Intoxicated,” “Relapse” and “Addictions”), making this a powerful double bill. — Hal Horowitz
