An Evening With Carsie Blanton

CRITIC’S PICK
Thurs., Feb. 6
Carsie Blanton, Smith’s Olde Bar—She’s cute, frisky, caffeinated and really fun, but for those who don’t like socio-political humor sure to offend some right-wingers, should enter with caution. Carsie Blanton’s folk/jazz/pop/blues mix is contagious. Her snappy lyrics are reminiscent of Loudon Wainwright lll with more of a supper club vibe. She will feature songs from last year’s After the Revolution, and of course play “Fishin’ With You,” a sweet tribute to John Prine which has become her most streamed track. Anyone not familiar with her charming show, will leave a fan. — Hal Horowitz
