From his start leading a successful band in his early teens to touring the West Coast in a van for
several years, Nick Howrey has had one goal: to keep the spirit of rock-and-roll alive. Whether
he’s interpreting Dylan-type political themes, playing Garcia-inspired jams, or reminding us,
Jimmy Buffett style, to just take it easy, the songs he writes and the covers he carefully chooses
reflect his own stories and those of the folks he’s met in every walk of life. The result is a gentle
reminder of the good times, the bad times, and the messy but beautiful tapestry that composes
the human experience. Rock and roll, at its best, has always been about honesty, integrity, and
