CRITIC’S PICK: First Annual Open Call Exhibition, Echo Contemporary Art - Echo’s inaugural Open Call exhibition will feature installation, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. The show is the result of a pitch from the gallery for artists to submit their work for consideration, and 38 of them - hailing from the Southeast, Ghana and Mexico - were picked out of a total of 150 applicants. Located within Guardian Studios at Echo Street West, Echo is owned and managed by Jessica Helfrecht. She is hosting an opening reception there on Friday, Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. The gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon until 5 p.m. - Kevin C. Madigan

After reviewing over 130 applications from around the world, Echo Contemporary Art is honored to exhibit the work of 38 artists from the Southeast United States, Ghana and Mexico. Echo’s 1st Annual Open Call Exhibition will include installation, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics.
