Oglethorpe Theatre Program presents In the Red and Brown Water by Tarell Alvin McCraney.
Inspired by Yoruba mythology from Africa and the Caribbean, and Spanish playwright Frederico Garcia Lorca’s plays, In the Red and Brown Water tells the story of Oya, a young woman who sacrifices her dream of becoming a track star to take care of her ailing mother. A poetic and haunting story of love, longing, family and friendship told in McCraney’s singular theatrical style. McCraney’s play Moonlight was the inspiration for the Oscar-winning film.

Performances are on November 21 at 8 p.m., November 22 at 7 p.m, November 23 at 8pm, November 24 at 2pm.
