Michigan Rattlers, Vinyl—Even though their name implies a rollicking, rockabilly style, the Michigan Rattlers play introspective, thoughtful, singer/songwriter music often compared to Bruce Springsteen or the BoDeans without the arena-sized anthems. Frontman Graham Young is the key ingredient since his emotionally laced tunes are key to the band’s approach. You’ll be hearing most of the songs from last year’s Waving From a Sea, the quartet’s most polished and reflective album yet. — Hal Horowitz
