Join Georgia Philharmonic as they close their 40th season with a bang – literally! Following a performance by the Buford Highway Orchestra Project, Georgia Philharmonic percussion takes center stage in the hypnotic world of Revueltas’ Sensemayá, a percussion-driven tour de force. Next, Violinist, Helen Kim joins the orchestra for the world premiere of composer and Atlanta Symphony Bassist, Michael Kurth. Finally, lose yourself in the tale of Prince Ivan’s adventures in a magical realm as he attempts to free its citizens from the evil sorcerer in Stravinsky’s The Firebird. Georgia Philharmonic returns to Atlanta Symphony Hall in the epic end to our 40th season!
