Flatland Cavalry, The Wilder Blue, Coca Cola Roxy—“May the music always be easy on the ears and heavy on the heart,” says Texas’ Flatland Cavalry frontman/co-founder Cleto Cordero in the introduction to their recent collection of stray songs previously locked in the band’s vaults. That sums up these country rockers whose fiddle-dominated sound puts them closer to the former than the latter. It all goes down smoothly with attention to flowing melodies, soothing vocals and just enough twang to get the two-steppers onto the dance floor. Listen for plenty of tracks from 2023s major label release ‘Wandering Star,’ an album whose popularity allows them to play this large venue.— Hal Horowitz
