The Surfrajettes, Black Widows, The EARL—Strutting with their miniskirts and thigh-high vinyl boots, this all female Canadian instrumental quartet rocks the surf and retro pop like they were born in the 50s. You don’t even need to hear songs titled “Double Reverb,” “Hot Doggin’” and their nifty bumpity-bump version of Nancy Sinatra’s “Sugar Town” to understand that these gals have their hearts and soul in music made long before they were born. The like-minded openers are a little tougher but just as much fun with songs that barely break two minutes. It’s guaranteed to be a rocking night.— Hal Horowitz
