CRITIC'S PICK — The Ike Reilly Assassination, Eddie’s Attic—Either with his band, or solo, Chicago rocker Reilly brings the grit and grime of his hometown to every show. His ragtag rocking is a combination of the New York Dolls, Joe Grushecky and The Replacements, but he hasn’t been very productive lately. His most recent album, Because the Angels, was largely acoustic and appeared in 2021. Still, with nine tough discs to his name, he has no shortage of great material, and a new documentary on his life might just provide a commercial visibility he hasn’t had yet. Regardless, this guy’s a rock and roll lifer and never phones it in. — Hal Horowitz
