PROTESTLESQUE! An Overtly Political Burlesque Variety Show

Living in a late stage capitalistic hellscape is hard. A lot of us are afraid. And angry. And artistically inclined. And so we’ve decided to pour those feelings into performance arts pieces that we hope, in sharing, will remind us that we aren’t alone.

This show is for mature audiences only and will address a variety of important issues facing our performers, friends, and families such as racism, abortion rights, healthcare, income inequality, and more. While this is a burlesque show, we ask that anyone attending be aware that this show will not be prioritizing a sexual aesthetic or mood. Fringe arts like burlesque and drag are inherently political and their continued existence is not guaranteed.

For this reason, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to Georgia Equality, an organization committed to advancing fairness, safety, and opportunity for LGBTQ Georgians.
