Wed., Apr. 2 - Sun., Oct. 26CRITIC’S PICK: 70 Years of The Jim Henson Company Pop-Up Exhibit, Center for Puppetry Arts - The late, great Jim Henson and his talented troupe are getting a special pop-up exhibition to celebrate seven decades of stunning creativity. It’s part of several special events the Center is hosting to honor the ingenious puppeteers. Farscape, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Sid the Science Kid and others are all in the mix. These events are in addition to the Jim Henson Gallery, the Center’s permanent exhibit, which features puppets, props, and costumes from Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, as well as backstories behind the fabled productions. - Kevin C. Affectionate Anarchy: Creating with Jim Henson highlights the artists, innovators, and creators who worked alongside Jim Henson during the first 25 years of The Jim Henson Company. The stories and work of people like Frank Oz, Jerry Juhl, Don Sahlin, Caroll Spinney, Bonnie Erickson, and others will be featured, allowing visitors to learn more about the experience of creating The Muppets and more.
