Sandler Hudson Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition entitled Fields, featuring the works of Ignacio Michaud.

Ignacio Michaud (b. 1979, Santiago, Chile) is a painter whose work is informed by various methods of drawing. In Fields, Michaud’s process unfolds across different ‘fields’ of thought and practice—sketchbooks, sticky notes, and, more frequently, an iPhone—where ideas and images cross-pollinate. These methods allow for a rapid exchange between intuition and structure, cultivating compositions that take shape organically on the surface of a painting.

Ignacio Michaud (b. 1979, Santiago, Chile) is a contemporary painter. He received his BFA from Universidad Católica de Chile and moved to the United States in 2005. His work has been exhibited in multiple group and solo exhibitions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York, Birmingham, Nashville, and Atlanta, among other cities. In 2023, his work was published by the national art publication New American Painting, South edition. In 2024, he was awarded the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Biennial Award. He is represented by Sandler Hudson Gallery in Atlanta, GA. He lives and works in Atlanta, GA.
