The works of DeKalb-based artist Solomon C. Judge; "Anima"

Multidisciplinary artist Solomon C. Judge’s exhibition at Stonecrest Library explores what it means to be “normal” or “abnormal” in modern society, providing the opportunity for the viewer to reflect on themselves and the world around them. The pieces in this  exhibition were created over three years, brought together by a common theme; the intersection of mind, body, and soul.  Solomon C. Judge says:

“The Dreamer is Awake highlights a style I've cultivated through my interest in traditional African art such as sculpture, music, and paintings. It combines this with my more modern inspirations such as sci-fi films and surrealist art. When you look at these pieces, I want you to embrace your dreams. My art highlights how I don’t see the world in a way perceived as “normal”, and I don't accept the idea that people should be pressured into a narrow view of what “normal” is.”
