About the event
Harvest Moon was formed to pay tribute to the legendary careers of Neil Young and CSN&Y
Neil Young is a national treasure. A two time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in-ductee, his career has gone from acoustic and folk to country, blues, rock, rockabilly, experimental and beyond. Songs like “Hey Hey, My My’ influenced acts such as Sonic Youth, Dinosaur, Jr and Nirvana earning him the title of “Godfather of Grunge”. More than 50 years into his career, Neil continues to record and tour on a regular basis.
Harvest Moon was formed to pay tribute to the legendary career of Neil Young. Drawing on his time with Buffalo Springfield, Neil’s extensive solo career, CSN&Y and the electrifying albums with Crazy Horse, there is a lifetime of mu-sic to explore.
Comprised of seasoned veterans of the Atlanta music scene, Harvest Moon was formed in 2018. The band was started by Rod Gunther on guitar and Hen-ry Davis on keyboards, both of whom are members of TRIBUTE - a celebra-tion of The Allman Brothers Band. Rod and Henry have been bringing the mu-sic of ABB to Atlanta and the southeast for over 5 years now and are looking forward to adding this new project to the mix. Brad Berry, of Reuben’s Bell and a long time anchor of the Metalsome events, is on drums/vocals. Wade Carreker on bass/vocals and Meg Scalise on vocals bring their many years of performance and incredible talents to the band. Harvest Moon’s newest member, Grant Reynolds, is a first-call Atlanta guitarist, vocalist, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. Grant has been a respected and influential player on the Atlanta music scene since 2008.
With 4 part vocal harmonies and an instinctive feel for the music and vibe of Neil Young, Harvest Moon is ready to bring these songs to life. Multiple appearances at Atlanta venues and festivals are currently booked and look for more announcements in the coming months!
