Monarchs & Margaritas
From the venue:
Dunwoody Nature Center invites the community to celebrate spring and the power of local impact at its signature fundraising event, Monarchs & Margaritas, taking place Saturday, May 10, from 6 to 9 PM. This beloved annual gathering blends the vibrant energy of a fiesta with the mission-driven purpose of environmental preservation, creating an unforgettable night that gives back to nature while bringing the community together.
This year’s event draws inspiration from the majestic migration of the Monarch butterfly—an extraordinary journey that connects Georgia to the mountains of Mexico, where millions of Monarchs spend the winter months.
The event will honor this natural phenomenon with an evening incorporating
Mexican culture along with environmental purpose. Guests will enjoy Mexican
cuisine, tequila tastings by Flecha Azul, and the lively sounds of traditional
Mariachi music echoing through the trees of the Nature Center.
In addition to the evening’s culinary and musical delights, the event will
feature a live auction, as well as raffles offering one-of-a-kind experiences,
exclusive items, and more—all in support of the Dunwoody Nature Center.
Proceeds from Monarchs & Margaritas directly support environmental
education, conservation programming, and capacity building for the Nature
Center, ensuring that future generations can continue to learn from and
thrive in nature.
