The Phil Mitchell Radio Hour Asks: What Happens When the Mic Is Hot — But Heaven’s Not?
What if a televangelist didn’t make the Rapture... but was live on the air? That’s the burning question at the heart of The Phil Mitchell Radio Hour, a one-man, end-of-days sermon spiraling into chaos, premiering in Georgia at the 2025 Atlanta Fringe Festival.
Written and performed by Noah Bennett, this dark comedy follows the spiritual (and literal) broadcast breakdown of Phil Mitchell, a faith hustler who’s been left behind and refuses to take the hint. Armed with a microphone, a questionable soundboard, and a crumbling sense of purpose, Phil preaches from the wreckage of his own ego, determined to win back the audience, heaven — or both. What begins as a sermon unravels into a desperate plea for connection... or at least airtime.
