Atlanta Streets Alive
From the venue:
Atlanta Streets Alive returns to the historic Southside corridor for a 3.4-mile celebration of community, culture, and car-free streets. Music in the Park joins as the event’s cultural sponsor, curating seven live performance stages along the route. From local jazz to R&B, brass bands to soulful singer-songwriters, every block pulses with the rhythm of Atlanta’s neighborhoods and the spirit of community.
Atliens will enjoy a day where the streets aren’t filled with traffic—but with music,
movement, and joy. Presented by the Atlanta Department of Transportation with
support from Propel ATL, this Open Streets event transforms Ralph David
Abernathy Boulevard and Georgia Avenue—from Gordon White Park in the West
End to Cherokee Avenue at Grant Park—into a safe, car-free space for all.

Atlanta Streets Alive is a free, open invitation to walk, bike, skate, scoot, dance, and connect in public space. Dogs on leash, strollers, e-bikes, and rollerblades are welcome. So are spontaneous dance parties and fresh conversations with neighbors you didn’t know you had. Streets will be closed to cars from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., with designated crossing points. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or take MARTA.
