Atlanta Home Show
From the venue:
The upcoming fall edition of the Atlanta Home Show, running September 5-7 at the Cobb Galleria, features celebrity guests Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt from HGTV’s popular “100 Day Dream Home”, as well as the area’s leading experts on home improvement and trends.
The popular consumer event spans three days packed with ideas, education and is a one-stop shop showcase for the latest trends, innovative products, and expert services to help attendees transform their living spaces.
Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt are a Tampa-based design duo known both for their witty banter and for designing and building perfect custom homes for their clients in 100 days or less. Brian started working construction jobs in college and began flipping houses on his own after graduation. After the 2008 housing crash, Brian got back on his feet by opening a chain of fitness clubs before reconnecting with Mika — 10 years after they first met in high school.
The Kleinschmidts have streamlined the entire process of homebuilding: from designing the house, to finding the lot, to making countless little-but-important decisions that come with building a house. Mika guides clients through the process and design, while Brian oversees the building and construction.
Known as HGTV’s “winningest competition couple”, they’ve also conquered the Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge and Rock the Block. They also went head-to-head on the HGTV series 100 Day Hotel Challenge, renovating two retro motels along North Carolina’s coast.
They share their best design tips, answer audience questions (and have been known to break into song) during their appearances. They appear at 2 p.m. on Friday and Noon on Saturday.
Other show highlights include The Roof Museum – a nonprofit dedicated to bringing more Atlantans into skilled trades like roofing; but also to guiding consumers through their roofing projects, one of the biggest (and priciest) home improvements. Visitors to their feature space at the show can get all their hard questions about roofing – and free hard hats for the kids.
The show also features a comprehensive seminar schedule with topics ranging from home design trends to DIY tips and energy-efficient upgrades.
To recognize local frontline heroes, the show celebrates Hero Day every day. All active military personnel, veterans, police, fire and first responders are invited to attend the show free of charge. Simply present valid ID at the box office. For your service and sacrifice, we thank you. Please note, this offer does not extend to family members.
Seniors aged 65+ are recognized with complimentary admission every day (must present valid ID at box office).
In addition, the show hosts Trade Day on Friday, Sepember 5. All home-related tradespeople and members of these organizations: NARI, Realtors, HBA, NKBA, NADRA, GaREIA, AIA, NAIPC, Atlanta Area Chapter Appraisal Institute, and ASID receive complimentary admission on Friday with valid ID.
