Discover the power of pattern at MAKE @ MODA: Printed Patterns! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of printmaking and pattern design using simple, accessible tools. Carve your own designs into foam blocks, experiment with repetition and texture, and transform your creations into original prints on paper. Along the way, you’ll gain relief printing skills, learn how designers use pattern to communicate ideas and identity, and leave with a small collection of your own handmade prints.

Guiding the session is Earline Johnson, a multidisciplinary artist and MODA educator with a background in ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, and art history. With extensive teaching experience at institutions including the Barry Art Museum, Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, and Atlanta Public Schools, Earline brings expertise and creative energy that make this workshop perfect for anyone curious about surface design, handmade processes, or playful experimentation.
