A Conversation with Tim Youd (Striking Characters exhibition artist)

Tim Youd, the artist featured in the new Emory Libraries exhibition “Striking Characters: Typewriters, Literary Worlds, and the Art of Tim Youd,” will be the guest in a lively conversation in the Jones Room (Level 3) with curators Shanna Early and Hannah Griggs. The event will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition. Youd creates art by using vintage typewriters to retype classic or relevant novels or typescripts in their significant locations, such as “The Wiz” and “Dracula”; original materials from the Rose Library collections related to both are on display.
