Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival 2025 (Day 2)

CRITIC’S PICK:
Fri., Oct. 10
Wire & Wood, Alpharetta, GA — The first night of this annual OTP, two-day, free singer-songwriter festival is headlined by ‘80s MTV darlings and punch line to some of the decade’s jokes, Wang Chung. But don’t hold that against the rest of the bands on the roster. Before you prepare to “Wang Chung tonight,” or relive “Dance Hall Days,” there are plenty of younger, lesser known talented artists ready to deliver their songs to audiences looking to try something new on six stages spread out through the closed-off downtown Alpharetta streets. It’s a cool, laid-back vibe and as long as the weather holds (most of the stages are outdoors), a fun way for music fans to experience up and coming talent in one friendly setting. — Hal Horowitz

The Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival is happening Friday and Saturday, October 10–11, in the heart of Downtown Alpharetta. This free, two-day event will showcase more than 30 live performances across six outdoor stages. The festival also brings back its popular Listening Room at Roaring Social, a limited-capacity, ticketed experience that offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the art of songwriting, featuring three remarkable performers. Festivalgoers can also enjoy the return of the Music Makers Market and the Live Art Lounge, which blend music-themed artwork, handcrafted goods, interactive art demos and pop-up performances, adding a creative and hands-on dimension to the weekend celebration.
Since its inception, Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival has become one of the region's most anticipated festivals, renowned for pairing nationally acclaimed acts with emerging songwriting talent in a vibrant, walkable setting filled with music, art, food and a strong sense of community spirit.
