Soul Cinema Sundays presents "Get Out"

Soul Cinema Sundays presents Jordan Peele's "Get Out" in recogntion of Halloween, following the Little Five Points Halloween Parade! The 2017 psychological thriller was written, co-produced, and directed by comedian/actor Jordan Peele. The film satirically highlights the lingering ignorance and underlying awkwardness of black/white relations in "post-racial" America. At the 2018 Academy Awards "Get Out" was nominated for  Best Original Screenplay, Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, LaKeith Stanfield, Catherine Keener, Lil Ray Howery, and Ericka Alexander. The screening will include an after-fillm discussion about current race relations in America led by Kalonji Changa of Black Power Media.
