Atlanta based sculptor, Eileen Braun, transforms discarded materials into commanding works of art. Using factory dressmaker’s tissue as “paper yarn,” she hand knits large tapestries and vessels accented with gilding foil and salvaged fibers. By pairing overlooked industrial revenants with the symbolic weight of gold, Braun redefines value, materiality, and labor, creating richly textured forms that echo landscapes, drapery, and the human figure.
