Vienna Boys Choir, Byers Theater - The illustrious Vienna Boys Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben) has 100 choristers split into four touring ensembles named after the Austrian composers Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert, all of whom had some connection with the chorale over the centuries. The boys, either altos or sopranos, hail from Austria itself as well as a few other places; they perform roughly 300 concerts annually in front of half a million people and have sung in the United States more than 50 times since 1932. - Kevin C.
