Charlie Starr, Buckhead Theatre - Instead of taking time off when not on tour fronting Blackberry Smoke, Starr returns for what is an annual solo, unplugged performance. Here, accompanied only by fellow band member Benji Shanks and without the structure of a set list or the volume of a rock band, he lets his impulses run wild, playing covers of songs he loves, along with a smattering of Smoke hits and deep tracks. Hearing those tunes the way they were composed, alone with an acoustic guitar, is particularly moving, especially when accompanied by the personal stories behind the lyrics. - Hal Horowitz
