The Country Westerns, Ultra Lights, Total Peace, S.E.C.R.E.T.S., The EARL - Despite their twang-inspired name, the Country Westerns stick to a honky-tonk-free combination of pop/indie/garage punk. The trio is fronted by ex-Atlantan Joey Plunket who clearly has some Replacements albums in his playlist. Kudos for daring to cover Richard Thompson's "Wall of Death!" Since they haven't had a new, full-length album in nearly three years, you'll likely hear some fresh material at this gig. Atlanta's punky Ultra Lights quartet, partially influenced by the Stooges, makes a solid opener for this four band night. - Hal Horowitz
