MLK Day at the Center 2026
From the venue:
Join us at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights on MLK Day for a meaningful day honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.Guided by this year’s theme, “The Time Is Right to Do What’s Right,” MLK Day at the Center invites visitors to reflect on Dr. King’s vision and consider how his work continues to shape today’s pursuit of civil and human rights. Often described as a day on, not a day off, MLK Day is a call to learning, reflection, and action.Visitors of all ages can explore the Center’s galleries and participate in family-friendly activities throughout the day. At 11 AM in The Glenn, guests can also experience a special performance by the Palefsky Collision Project featuring Blaze, an original work inspired by Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower.
