Marc Brossard, Seth Walker, Variety Playhouse - Scruffy-voiced, blue-eyed Louisiana-bred soul man Broussard is a frequent visitor over the past decade. He's been especially busy this year though with two studio albums already released in the first four months;a meh set of 50s covers and a new batch of originals out a few weeks ago, the latter with Joe Bonamassa's blessing (and producer Josh Smith's participation) titled Chance Worth Taking. Between well-known versions of classic soul gems and fresh originals, you'll seldom get the same set twice. Broussard always has a great band and he's a pro that delivers the rocking blues and soul goods with honesty and integrity. Arrive early for Seth Walker, a veteran Americana singer/songwriter adept at delivering rugged and terrific shows. Hal Horowitz
